ICCO Executive Director Rob Morbin steps down

Rob Morbin, ICCO’s Executive Director has decided to step down after being with the organisation for six years.

Rob joined ICCO in 2018 from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has been an integral figure in the organisation’s expansion, serving as Deputy Chief Executive under Chief Executive Francis Ingham, and most recently as Executive Director since May 2023. Rob also served as member of the senior management team during his tenure.

Over this period, ICCO membership has grown into the Middle East and Southeast Asia, expanded its services, products, events and competitions; raised the presence of PR at Cannes Lions; and gained the PR agency members a platform at the Council of Europe and United Nations.

Rob told PRovoke Media: “It has been an immense privilege to serve the global PR community in such an interesting, multifaceted role. There are many colleagues and connections from around the world that I would like to thank for their support. And I am immensely proud of what we achieved together over the years, moving the organisation from the fringes to the forefront, delivering on PR agency priorities and representing the industry at the highest level within European and global institutions.

It’s now time for both me and the organisation to begin new chapters. I look forward to following ICCO’s continued success.”

Grzegorz Szepanski, ICCO President and Burson Poland CEO said:

“I would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Rob for his transformational impact on ICCO over the past 6 years. He has risen to unprecedented challenges, driven new initiatives, and opened up exciting opportunities for members around the world. We wish him every success in his next venture.”

James Hewes, PRCA CEO added

“In his time leading the development of ICCO, Rob has been an important figure within PRCA, serving on PRCA’s senior management during a period of international growth. He will be greatly missed by the PRCA team and members, and we wish him the very best for the future”.
