National Apprenticeship Week 2024: Government-approved and Ofsted-recognised PRCA Apprenticeships Programme excels in quality, skills and industry impact
In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week 2024 (NAW), the PRCA Apprenticeships Programme proudly highlights its exceptional alumni performance, demonstrating excellence in quality delivery, skills development, and a significant contribution to the PR industry.
Excellence across all fronts
The PRCA Apprenticeships Programme stands as a beacon of excellence, as attested by the endorsement from past apprentices.
Beyond the training period, the programme continues to shape careers, with 97% of PRCA Alumni stating that the apprenticeship played a crucial role in advancing their professional trajectory. Notably, 70% of alumni who shared their progress reached senior/managerial roles within the PR industry within four years of completing their apprenticeship.
The lasting impact of the programme on the PR industry is that 93% of PRCA Apprentices choose to stay within the PR sector following completion, with 75% remaining with the same company. This sustained contribution underscores the programme's efficacy in cultivating talent and fostering industry loyalty.
Ofsted recognition: A stamp of approval
The recent Ofsted monitoring visit in September further affirmed the PRCA Apprenticeships Programme's commitment to excellence. Ofsted inspectors conducted a thorough evaluation, interacting with apprentices, managers, and coaches, resulting in a resounding "Reasonable Progress" rating against all three key themes. This recognition reinforces the programme's dedication to maintaining and exceeding high standards in apprenticeship training.
Renewed call for Apprenticeship support: #NAW2024
During National Apprenticeships Week 2024, the PRCA calls on employers to support PR apprenticeships, building on the programme's success as a Government-approvedtraining provider for PR apprenticeships in the UK. The PRCA Apprenticeship Programme offers aspiring practitioners the opportunity to work full-time in PR, with on-the-job training and assessments.
