PRCA joins the Trade Association Forum to strengthen support for members and staff
The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is pleased to announce its membership with the Trade Association Forum (TAF), the UK’s leading organisation dedicated to supporting trade associations. This partnership reinforces the PRCA’s commitment to delivering greater value, insights, and opportunities for its members.
TAF, often referred to as the “association of associations,” is supported by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). It offers strategic guidance and operational resources tailored to trade associations, while also amplifying their contributions to government, industry, and the wider public.
The PRCA staff will have direct access to TAF’s extensive resources, including benchmarking reports, best-practice guides, training opportunities, and expert consultancy services. This access will increase their ability to manage operations effectively, innovate service offerings, and strengthen the PRCA’s strategic impact.
For the PRCA members, the benefits are indirect but significant. By leveraging TAF’s support and resources, the PRCA staff will:
- Deliver improved services: Insights and tools gained from TAF will enable PRCA to refine and expand its member benefits, ensuring greater value for its professional community.
- Drive innovation: Participation in TAF’s Special Interest Groups and networking events will expose PRCA to fresh ideas and collaborative opportunities that can be translated into member-focused initiatives.
- Enhance representation: TAF’s advocacy efforts with government and industry will strengthen PRCA’s voice, amplifying the collective interests of the PR and communications sector.
PRCA Interim CEO, Sarah Waddington, said:
“Joining the Trade Association Forum is an investment in the expertise of our team and the future of our organisation. While PRCA staff will directly benefit from TAF’s incredible resources, our members will see the impact through enhanced services, innovation, and stronger representation. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to raise the standards and value of PR, public affairs and communications professionals globally.”
Emily Wallace, TAF CEO, said:
"We are pleased to welcome the PRCA as the latest member of the Trade Association Forum. The PRCA's work in championing the PR and communications industry is invaluable, and we’re excited to support their efforts in demonstrating the impact and importance of this sector. By working together, we can ensure the views of their members are well represented and continue to highlight the vital contribution their industry makes across the UK."
